Forestry Commission Scotland

Forestry Commission Scotland (FCS) is part of the Forestry Commission - the Government department for forestry in Great Britain. The Forestry Commission is directed by a GB Board of Commissioners and since devolution it has operated as a cross-border public body. It provides Scotland with support services and shared resources such as plant health, international policy, statistics and economics, historic environment, forestry training, personnel and IT.

Forestry Commission Scotland's main aim is to protect and expand Scotland's forests and woodlands and in doing so increase their value to society and the environment.
